It has been over a year since we visit Calvary Baptist church in Killarney, Manitoba and told the story about what God is doing here in Honduras.
Well two weeks ago we had a team of 10 here from the church. Words cannot express the love that was shown to us and the people of Honduras.
For many months before they came they were preparing through meetings and getting information out to the community. They learned about the culture of Honduras. The team was well prepared for the mission.
Some of the highlights of the week were…
2 couples got to meet their sponsor child.
1 couple now sponsors a youth from
70 homemade baby blankets where given out to new moms at the hospital
Michael received tools for the boy’s transition home project.
We were blessed with new tires for our truck.
Even Hobo (our dog) got a new homemade blanket.
Served the homeless with food and hugs.
Visit the youth detention and shared tears, laughter.
Danced with the children as they worship in church
Making new friends!
It was such a pleasure to have this team here. To watch as they interacted with the others. To be Jesus hands and feet!
To give hope to the hopeless through loving as Jesus does!
