About

Gordon MacKenzieGordon MacKenzie

Gordon was born in Saint John, New Brunswick.  He attended church as a child, was baptized as a youth, but didn’t fully surrender his life to Jesus until the age of 35, exactly one month after marrying Anna. He immediately felt called to enter ministry and enrolled at Bethany Bible College where he completed his BA Religion, (Pastoral major and Missions minor) and later took a three year staff position at the college as the Men’s Resident Director and Athletic Director.  He has been in pastoral ministry since 2002, most recently as the Pastor of Relationship Ministries at LifeBridge Community Church since 2009. He completed his graduate work, a MEd in Counseling Psychology at the University of New Brunswick.

Missions work has always been interspersed throughout Gordon’s ministry.  He has been on four different short-term mission trips to the Czech Republic, New York (2x’s) and to Honduras.  While at Bethany, he led several teams of students on outreach missions to prisons (Dorchester & Springhill) and to soup kitchens, as well as street and church ministry opportunities. Many summers, he could be found at Camp Tulakadik serving as camp chief (pastor) for a week along with his wife.  Gordon also worked as a Human Service Counselor for over four years with at-risk youth while at Bethany.

Anna MacKenzieAnna MacKenzie

Anna’s grandmothers were the pillars in her church life, cultivating belief in God from a very early age.  She was baptized as a youth and, after marrying Gordon at age 35, she too began her ministry life by his side.  Anna has great compassion for people and, with a servant heart and the gift of mercy, her deep desire is to be Jesus’ hands and feet.  She started an outreach program in her church as a way to invest in children and families in her community.  Anna has worked as a Teacher’s Assistant for 15 years and as Head Instructor for an after school child care program for 4 years.  Anna holds a Diploma in Human Services Counseling from New Brunswick Community College.  She has a passion to reach out to children who are lost, hurting, neglected, abandoned, or abused and show them the love of Jesus.
