To All our Friends & Family,

Greetings from Tegucigalpa, Honduras! Or “home” as we now call it.

So blessed to have had a number of our LifeBridge family and friends out to wish us Bon Voyage. We certainly kn0w that we are loved… really is there anything else that could motivate someone to get up at 3:30am to be at an airport for 4am, just to say goodbye!? We only wish that it could have been a proper one! But thanks to glitches in the Air Canada computer system, that didn’t seem to want to process our baggage fees (we would have been fine if they waived them), we had a last minute rush through customs.

What an adventure getting here! Much of it was baggage-related…at departure they didn’t seem to want to take them and at our arrival in Honduras they didn’t want to give them back (had to wait till the next day for them to come from San Jose, Costa Rica). However, after an exhausting 8 hours in the air and another 7 hours waiting in airports, we finally made it!

Day #1 – We had another adventure shopping. But thanks to Amy, Alvin’s daughter, it was a fun and successful one! I can only imagine what it would have been like had we tried that one on our own! (Note to Self – We MUST learn Spanish!!)

Day #2 – Settling-in, resting-up and of course, writing to YOU!

Our “Claim-to-Fame” – Pappy Alvin told us that, to his knowledge, we “are the OLDEST (“beginner”) Missionaries to come full-time to Honduras.” (Lol… We’re still trying to decide how we feel about that one and if it is a “good thing”, or not!).

Please pray for us as we immerse ourselves into the culture and the language! We think it will be 2 weeks here in Tegucigalpa with Alvin and the Manos Extendidas team and then off to language school for 3 or 4 weeks.

Missing ALL of YOU!!

“Ooh, ooh, ooh, looking out our front door! Roosters and dogs, ‘The Rooster-Doodles’ are playin’ in the band… ” (sing it with us…Lol…guess you had to be there, or here, to get that one, eh Honduras Team 2013!?)

Love from Your Almost “Geriatric Adventurers for Jesus”,
